ESPN does not publish a public API, and browser-based apps cannot call its private endpoints directly — the browser blocks it, the same restriction RotoBot and every other third-party tool works around by syncing ESPN from a native app instead of a webpage. Here, a two-step manual workaround does the same job in under a minute.

How to sync (once a week is plenty):
1. Fill in Season and League ID above, then click "Build my ESPN data link."
2. Open the link in a new tab, in the same browser where you are logged into ESPN (needed for private leagues; public leagues work in any browser). Your browser shows a block of JSON text.
3. Select all the text on that page (Ctrl/Cmd+A), copy it (Ctrl/Cmd+C), and paste it into the box below.
4. Click "Parse rosters." Every team and its roster populate across the app.

Why these are not auto-synced: Yahoo Fantasy and NFL.com Fantasy both gate their data behind OAuth login — the kind of "sign in with Yahoo" flow that needs a registered developer app with credentials. Doing that safely needs a real backend to hold the app secret; hardcoding one into a page anyone can view the source of would expose it to everyone who opens this link, not just you. That is a different, bigger project than what a single private file can safely do, so rather than build something fragile or insecure, this app leaves those platforms to manual entry — which takes a few minutes and works for literally any platform, including ones with no API at all (CBS, Fleaflicker, a plain group text league).
